GROHE launched its first quality assurance systems several decades ago. GROHE was even the first company in the sanitary fittings industry to be certified to ISO 9001, the then current international standard for quality management systems, as early as in 1992. In fact GROHE was among the first 700 companies to be certified in Germany.
Today, all major production sites and corporate offices of the group are certified to the currently valid ISO 9001 introduced in the year 2000.
The process-oriented quality management system is part of the integrated GROHE management system (quality, environment, health and safety). It includes tests across the entire value chain from the innovation process via all production, logistics and distribution processes through to after-sales service.
All our products are subject to thorough tests ranging from comprehensive internal testing processes to long-term tests simulating several decades of day-to-day use before a product is cleared for mass production. These tests go far beyond the requirements of the currently valid international industry standards.
Even though all manufacturing processes are monitored, every product is subject to a test of perfect functionality before shipment.
Certification of all our essential Group facilities according to the international standard for quality management systems ISO 9001 is part of it since 1992, according to the updated ISO 9001:2000 version since 2002.
